Hey there Predators,
Our tip for today is the simplest one there is; relax. You don’t need to squeeze the grip like you’re Willie the pimp and the gun is a trick that owes you money. If your hands, shoulders and neck are tired after firing a magazine, you’re squeezing too hard, and you’re too tense.
Hold the gun firmly, like you would a hammer when you’re driving a nail. Some instructors say you should squeeze the grip a lot harder, but A) it leads to fatigue a lot faster, and B) it makes the fine motor skills needed to squeeze the trigger properly much more difficult.
EXPERIMENTATION TIME!!!
Make a fist with your strong hand, and extend your trigger finger. No, your TRIGGER finger. Now squeeze the remaining fingers as hard as you can, and try to make a good trigger squeeze with that trigger finger. Now do the same thing again, with a moderate grip.
You should find it’s easier to squeeze your imaginary trigger with a moderate grip, and you won’t feel as much sympathetic motion from the other fingers. Sympathetic motion, by the way, is where the other fingers on your hand move with the trigger finger. That’s generally considered bad.
As with all things, your individual experience may vary, but give it a try, and see what works for you.
